What's Left of Me- A Poem

Author:
whats-left-of-me-a-poem

In everyone I meet
I look for pieces of you
Hoping to find
the person I used to be
I guess I'd still have to love
what's left of me.

The static on the radio weirdly calms me
as if its sound was a melody
that doesn't need a tune
Somewhere out there maybe you'd hear it too
it's my silent plea for you.

One day I'd find a way
to fix my wreckage
but for today let me fall asleep
and deal with what's left of me.
