What to Do When You Feel Down

When the sky has darkened and you feel so low

When the sky has darkened and you feel so low
Lift your eyes to the hills and see the glow
Of the moon at night on yonder trees
Awesome is God
He brings us to our knees.

There is always a place in God's heart
For the lonely and forgotten
For the one's that smart
Tears can be bitter and heart's depressed
God will come in for you
You will feel blessed.

Never give up on life or your God
For His love is unfathomable
He picks us up like lambs to His breast
And will take us on a path that only He knows best
Keep your eyes fixed on Him and look to the hills.
The Maker of earth, your anguish He stills.

The sun will shine again.

When It Feels That The Sun Does Not Shine

When you feel lonely and tired and the clouds roll overhead
Take heart and know that the sun will again appear
Over your time and over your horizon will the bright rays of morning stream over your bed
Through your windows of heartache and the windows of pain
Summer sunshine will greet you after the rain

Soothing your sorrows and calming your fears
Trust God, He will wipe away the tears
Of bitterness and anger, built up over the years.
Melting you and holding you as a Father holds a child
God will welcome you till you become quiet and rested, in His everlasting arms.

Help is a prayer away

When people let you down there is always help, in Christ.

When you feel shaky

Thanks Lorna. I write poems but do not always feel on top of the world. I even read some of my old ones to stay focused and positive, in my day.

Your poems are so uplifting and inspirational Diana, much needed in these trying times. They have certainly brightened my day. Bless you.
