Faded into the obscurity of normalcy
the toils of several years,
years, reluctant to move
getting slower by the day.
It had only but one witness
mine own eyes, and not a soul beyond.
The world tick-tocked it's way forward in my blindspot
It was only when the sun hit me
I realized I lost my shade.
I was left behind in a strange familiarity.
Standing there amidst alien faces I realized,
I forgot to move.
Tim Truzy from U.S.A. on December 10, 2018:
Beautiful work. "Fading into the obscurity of normalcy," timesless line.
By forgetting to move, the narrator has begun to move on in many ways.
