What Have I Learned So Far

Some People Make Everything Look Easy

In my life, things can be a little more difficult

It's o.k. to be wrong

You don't have to tell everyone either

If you do you will feel lousy

Because even if they don't want too

They will say things you don't want to hear

So secretly take mental notes

Then later put them on clear legible notes

To correct your mistakes and move forward

To love with your whole heart

Not just the words that so many people say constantly

I love you

To actually put more and more meaning behind everything you do

Loving the energy and the effort

Have fun doing what you love

No matter what other people think

It is worth repeating

Have fun doing what you love

If not you will pay the price

You won't feel happy

Now these are two thoughts I am going to think about today

Mona Sabalones Gonzalez I figure if I keep writing poems they have to get better. I never thought of the other way around, they could get worse. I keep believing practice makes perfect. To see you liked my poem I am filled with joy. It takes me a while to respond to everyone. We never know what life will throw in our corner. I hope it is a balloon blown by the wind. With one great big smiley face on it. That is just for starters. Then maybe a butterfly or a Red Robin and a Blue Jay. My list is endless. I hope they serve you well. Life is everything we can do to make it wonderful for me and for you. Thank you for all that you do. 7 days and I finally got to a week's worth of comments. i am slow as molasses. I hope I am as good. Have a great morning and a wonderful Sunday.

Mr. Happy I would like to follow your urges to think of my dying moments. Regrets do send me down a rabbit hole. I have the darndest time trying to get out. I want to be laughing as I take my last breath. Maybe it a good joke. Then with a great big smile. One that will carry on long when I am gone. To let people know life wasn't all roses and even when I got roses I pricked myself with the thorns. Go figure. If this is as good as it gets give me no more. A joke isn't only good if people are laughing. Now is the time to laugh. O.k. I gave it my best shot and apparently it isn't good enough. There is a bottle of whiskey and a big old glass take a shot. Just in case the first plan didn't work. Your not a drinker either. Rough crowd. I good entertainer has to know when to call it quits. Your mother is on the phone. You better take it outside so you can hear her. It sounded important. I have to make sure I lock that door and keep the riff-raff out. (lol) only joking. If we can't make fun of ourselves and in the process make people laugh. What is the point of living? I always say two smiles are better than one. Three is unheard of. Thank you for all your comments. Each one makes me feel great. Have an awesome Sunday. You could also have an awesome sundae. Both sounds great.

John Hansen Even if it just gets us started. We have to keep the dream alive and well. A happy mind a happy body. I can remember working out in the garden. Going to the store buying a carload of vegetable plants Turning over the soil.Digging holes for all the plants. Adding in some soil protein. Planting and watering all summer. It was a bad year. If I was a farmer I would have starved. Nothing grew well. Then you would think I would give up. Nope the opposite happened. I have more drive than ever.I wanted to prove to myself it was beyond my control. I am going to grow a better one next year. A little not much better. My whole family would of stil starved. Maybe a farmer I wasn't meant to be. A cook makes me happy. I still like to get my hands in the dirt. Maybe the kid in me. Maybe it didn't matter if I grew anything at all. A garden gave me a reason to play in the dirt. So I didn't look like a nut in the neighborhood. Every year I have had a garden ever since. (lol) fun in the sun. Thank you for always reading my poems. I am so glad you like some of them. I bury the bad poems under my garden maybe they will make it grow better.

This is a lovely poem. I love your two thoughts and will also adopt them today.

"Have fun doing what you love

If not you will pay the price" - So very true. I urge people to think of their dying moments. That way, perhaps we can eliminate most regrets.

Words of wisdom - cheers and thank You!

We should always try to do what we love. It may not always be possible, but we have to do our best. Thanks for sharing.
