Weekend's Perfect Rain Delay

Sky full of darkness and Mother Nature's tears
Better to have that sentiment instead of
The last few days of her boiling rage
Sun burned so bright that you could fry
On the sidewalk instead of an egg
Close to 100 degrees of unadulterated anger
Not sure why Nature wanted us to suffer
But the effects were extreme heat and staying indoors
Actually glad for the excessive rain to arrive
Nice to not have the threat of a heat stroke looming
Want to enjoy being outside for more than 10 minutes
At a time before fainting sets in
Outside may be gloomy
Sun took a temporary well deserved vacation
Able to breathe for a few days
Even if it's under a large golf umbrella
Taking the good with the bad for the moment
Better to look at the positive than the negative
At least that's the goal of the moment.

Rain brings relief not only from the heat and dust, but also a tired psyche and the monotony of life. You have captured it very nicely in your words!
