We Are a Sad Generation
The 21st century they say
We heading into a word of isolation
A world of being alone
Sleepless nights
Limited interactions in real life
Double tapping the pictures
With tears on your eyes
Depression and stress
Eating us alive
I asked myself why..
Broken trusts
Used up bodies
Closed up minds
Masks on faces
Where do I begin
To trust someone
All over again ...
We chose to pretend
we pretend to be happy
We pretend life is good
Thanks to the filters
Welcome to a fake life

John Hansen thank you very much ☺️ Yes hope we can fix this before it gets too late

Well, so far this has been a year like no other. Your words ring very true if this situation becomes the norm for the current generation it will be "sad." Hopefully, this can be controlled and it doesn't become an ongoing health issue/concern for years to come. Good poem.
