We Noticed Each Other
She was a perfect being
Unafraid to die, unafraid to live
I can’t remember what we said
But the feeling always could
There seemed to be no point
Time was a bottle of love
And a heart full of alcohol
It was never organized
We were symbolic of love
A quick kiss after a burger
The couple that laughed
Our thoughts were untied
What we learned was risk
There was no way to live easy
The night wasn’t for sleeping
The day left too many questions
If we thought about tomorrow
It pushed our impulse to escape
But was it from each other
Or from the day we would part
We can only say goodbye once
Into that moment we’re buried
The world never noticed us
But we noticed each other

My mind races all the time about life. I wish it would stop when I want it to. I don't know why I'm that way but it is a blessing and a curse. It helps with the poetry but not with the sleep!

Indeed, pain and sadness took most of our lives that night is no longer just for sleeping. :(
