Sunny warm September day,
People hurry on their way.
No clue to any trouble,
To burst their peaceful bubble.
Americans are caught off guard.
Witnessing the earth shake hard.
Down comes the mighty towers,
Down comes a strength of power.
So gullible and naïve,
And blessed to be feeling free.
Red and white and blue still flies,
Now the eagle’s people cry.
Fearful that our freedom ends.
People pray and hearts wear thin.
Remembering this day hurts.
But we must never forget (9-11).
