Chimera
I have been writing poetry, fiction and short stories for many years and have completed a book of poems. I also enjoy comedy writing.
Here I am at birth
Giving glory for being on Earth
But I am not one, for I absorbed my twin
Now we both live within
Here we go now, the eyes strip us complete
Freaks they say of life, two heads and two feet
We are the human Chimera, may not be as powerful as the beast
But we are human and posses the same heart, love us please.

I am not sure what to make of this monster, but love rqather than hate is a very good message. You really got me thinking about this poem.

I can remember going to carnivals and seeing ' freaks ' as they were called when I was a kid. So glad they don't do that anymore. Being a nurse for years, I have seen babies born with unwanted conditions. Thanks for reminding us to love rather than hate.
