We Become One: Monday's Inspiration 17- An Offering to Ioannis Arvanitis

Manatita is an esteemed author living in London, UK. He writes spiritual books, flash fiction and esoteric poetry, his favourite genre.

Quote from Sri Chinmoy

"Life is nothing but the expansion of love. We can cultivate divine love by entering into the Source. The Source is God, who is all Love." -Sri Chinmoy

Beneath the moon

We Become One

The crimson sun rinses the sky;

Dark clouds disappear like shadows,

Whose rivers suddenly run dry.

Dawn peeps through an indigo blue,

As hope blossoms in the marigolds and sunflowers.

Beneath the moon where we encounter,

I kiss her cheeks, and her breath trembles softly.

We both pull at the fragrance of flowers,

Cooling the burning flames of bodies entwined,

As eternity stands still.

Her smile lights up my soul;

We hear the sweet chants of cockatiels

And canaries, singing their sweet psalms of freedom.

We hug tightly in the silence of the morn and become one.

-Manatita, The Lantern Carrier. 15th, October, 2017.

I Fell Into Your Flame And Became Love

Having unlocked my chains of millennia,

We both immersed into an ocean of bliss.

Filled with the madness of a reckless moth,

I fell into Your flame and became Love.

Within the cherry blossoms where we first encountered,

I behaved initially like a timid child.

But spring bloomed like a dauntless hero,

Fanning the fire of my longing.

Now we waltz through willows and snow-clad mountains,

Dance beneath rainbows and gaze at crimson sunsets.

My core is filled with tenderness and sweetness;

This Heart’s enwrapped by the magic of Thy allure.

The immensity of my entanglements has dissipated;

We have merged in fullness and become One.

Quote from Sri Chinmoy

"True, this world of ours is full of hatred and disbelief, but that is no reason why we should not love and why we should not believe. We must love and believe in order to empty the hatred-sea." -Sri Chinmoy

The Flame of Love

Sri Chinmoy's quote

"A moment's truth
Can and shall make the world beautiful.
A moment's peace
Can and shall save the world.
A moment's love
Can and shall make the world perfect." -Sri Chinmoy

Ralph, you are hired. I need you to comment on my work for others. That was a brilliant piece of reflection and truly appreciated. Much Peace.

Ralph Schwartz from Idaho Falls, Idaho on November 07, 2017:

I loved the use of imagery in the first piece - how you tied the majestic expanse of the sky and it's ever-changing landscape to her smile, creates a very powerful message. In your second piece, I was immediately drawn to the line "I fell into your flame and became love" - it's nothing short of genius in summing up love - you commit 100% without any expectation of failure or shortfall - jumping into the fire without fear takes an unbelievable amount of courage...just as falling in love does. As always, your work is thought-provoking and exciting to read!

Thank You, Bro.

So glad you came. Hub Pages trimmed some pics as they may be preparing it for Letter Pile or something.

I don't know that you are too small, Bro, as your Heart sees enormous things. My sincere appreciations for your contributions.

Ioannis Arvanitis from Greece, Almyros on November 06, 2017:

I am so small for such a great honor, but I know that God in me thank you so much for the beautiful way of love that you show us. I will try more to be worthy of your offering. Thank you, my brother.

Ah, Marlene.

I try ... I try. HP are giving me a hard time. They are removing the inspiring bits. Well, some. Lol. God bless you and your family.

Marlene Bertrand from USA on November 06, 2017:

They say words are powerful, and you have such command over words that they could move mountains. Hello Manatita! I hope you are doing well.

manatita44 (author) from london on November 06, 2017:

Wow, Linda.

I need an agent and commercial expert. Lol. Hey, I had two awesome things happened to me last two weeks. I did a piece for Black History Month and sang Amazing Grace at the end. It brought the house down, so to speak. Then a week later, I did a piece on refugees. Well, one man leaped from the back, came straight to me and kissed me. Ha ha. He was very moved!

Thank you so much, my Sweet!! Yes, tell them to read slowly. I'm a true weaver of words.

Hi Eric,

How I wish more will be like us, working for the good of others... away from greed, complacency, power ... alas! Thank you so much!!

Linda Lum from Washington State, USA on November 06, 2017:

Anyone who reads your words too quickly is missing out on such a beautiful journey. Your words are so perfectly chosen and woven together, they must be taken in slowly and savored.

Eric Dierker from Spring Valley, CA. U.S.A. on November 06, 2017:

Wonderful. I really enjoyed this. I got awakened for love to come.

manatita44 (author) from london on November 06, 2017:

All by the Grace of God. Meditation is the answer.

Thank you so much!!!

Bill Holland from Olympia, WA on November 06, 2017:

I don't know how you do this so well but I'm mighty glad you do.
