Wave after Wave
Finding my inspiration through the voice of music and poetry. Being creative and finding ways in making life easier and smarter for others.
Tide is high,
It's wave after wave
A never-ending story,
What is it we try to enslave?
The wind beneath the wave
Sometimes causes a sigh
Or sometimes we just look on to its glory,
Is it for relief,
Or is it in disbelief
I choose at times not to dwell
As in my heart
It won’t sit well
In a matter of time
Calm is the wave
The tide is low
We must be strong
We must be brave
We must allow to take it slow
Still is the waters
Low is the wave
Is this the time
For the path it will pave
I just need the patience
Take it wave after wave
It builds me up inside
Allowing me more resilience
Take it one step at a time, so many things happening at once. You don’t know where to start or when it will end, and stress on how to deal with aspects of life's events. It's overwhelming but it will get better just look to the bright side and it shall pass.

Hi Rajan
We are all re-evaluating life and have learnt many things be it a high or a low tide, especially from the pandemic.
Always appreciate your comment Rajan
Take care, keep well and be safe

Exactly, we need to take one wave at a time and we shall overcome all difficulties. I relate this poem to the current pandemic the world is facing, lying low for the moment and taking each step with care.

This is an interesting analogy, especially as the rise in hospital cases of Covid19 is described as a tsunami. It does feel like we are all being battered by the waves.

An inspiring piece Mitara and perhaps we become stronger with each wave we survive. Let us hope so. Take care.

Yeah, and in more ways than one, we have all been thrown in the deep end and swam with the sharks.
We stayed afloat thanks to inspiring wonderful people paying it forward, so we can tell the tale
Remain awesome as you already are,
Always appreciate your comments Kyler

This is so touching.
Looking on the brighg side is what we all need to do in this turmoil we have today.
Thanks for sharing.

Truly, a wonderful way to look at the stress and events of daily life. Wave after wave they come, but if we give up swimming and surfing through them then we drown. Good thing for lifeguards, and all the wonderful people seeking to help us to stay afloat!
Amazing poem, Mitara!
