Why the Wands of Heaven?

The poem Wands of Heaven was created out of my feelings and thoughts about the quote form the movie “Pursuit of Happyness” with Will Smith.

The quote goes like this:-Don’t ever let someone tell you can’t do something. Not even me. You got a dream, you got to protect it.

People can’t do something themselves, they want to tell you can’t do it.

You want something, go get it. Period. All right?

Here is my poem Wands of Heaven for You.

Wands Heaven

is it possible to be happy all the time?

can we be happy full prime?

do we need to be in a happy bind?

who said so?

sometimes we are amazed

hopeful content bored

sad disgusted inspired

satisfied relieved resentful

inadequate complaining

wilful lonely excited

lost motivated silly

worthless and uplifted.

like a brilliant diamond, once was

a dark lump of coal

we too, are a multifaceted

diamond in how we shine whole heartedly

our hopes, fears and happiness in transit

the pursuit of happiness

has served to shame us weepy

or make us believe we are strange

mad or estranged

if we are not happy

or pursuing happiness zippy

You are the multifaceted diamond.
You are the multifaceted diamond. | Source

life can be tragic

a heart rendering rollick.

to survive the fire

of crush and heartbreak bemire

you must seek hope

and lick your wounds for quiet cope

and only you can rise

from the dead remise.

betrayals have been many

dreams lost and buried in alchemy

loss of connection and kindnesses of lumme

bitterness’s spiky seeds

grows with fecund speed

leaving a trail of fine pleads

the spikes absorb the sun’s warmth

piercing souls with honesty breadth

then wisdom is birthed

grown out of

losses and hardship’s stillbirths.

the shallow is a wasteland

truth can be a sharp smack of the hand

hurting us yet

releasing a new banquette

of consciousness through the alphabet

do not fret

do not disquiet

just take one step at a time

and when you are ready for the sublime

rising the courage of the prime

firmly closing the door to wartime

that seeks to take root at any time

look at the trunk

of the Fir tree spunk

tall and firm like

the pillar of dunk

this is your tower of truth funk

it won’t betray you

until it’s time to coup

the resurrection due

from death to rebirth anew

so, my friend

now begin to look for other ends

to breathe in new godsends

Grace | Source

it’s time to adapt

chaos will not be far

from the snow-capped

your time for happiness

and a worry-free tepee

is coming zippy

just don’t ever

let another tell you forever

you can’t do something clever

maybe you can’t today

but what about tomorrow’s play?

the day after that, hey?

people are too ready and eager

to tear you down with swagger

or put up barricades to stagger

you, and flagger

you, because of their sagas

by the grace of all that exists

before and after rhapsodists

may the light touch your life

with the healing of Wands of Heaven afterlife

Do you still have a dream?

Charmaine, this is a great poem. It reminds me of a couplet in the Sanskrut Language which speaks thus : Lift yourself with your self , never should you fill yourself with despair , for self is the self 's friend, and self is the self 's foe. I love the great message of this poem.
