Unwinding To A Little Television
Pull Up A Seat
I am like so many other people
I find t.v. fascinating
There is so much to watch
I have to limit myself or I can easily go overboard
My wife and I like some of the same sitcoms
After about three hours I had enough
All this time I lay down on the couch and get real comfortable
My wife has her own special chair
I enjoy a light blanket over my body
Even though I am not cold
Our cat will make her rounds
Sometimes she will spend time with me
Laying on my chest
I pat her for awhile until my arm gets tired
Off to sleep she will go
Then when she gets hungry or decides she has to move
She stretches and jumps off
She walks to my wife and lays on the chair of the arm
Going for a little more attention I see
I catch part of the news
When I get up it is time for bed
If I am not tired I go on the computer and now I have to think
Before I didn't have too
Every show performs for you automatically
All you have to do is work the remote
To fast forward, change the channel, raise or lower the volume
Of course the most important of them all
The on and off button
I enjoy comedy and many types of humor
My wife likes her cooking shows
I like to eat everything she cooks
There are so many recipes she sees
Yet she will only cook a few new things
I am so lucky
I look forward to all our meals
They not only fill me up but taste so good
I wonder a lot about people that watch six to eight hours of t.v. a day
I don't have the time
There are a lot of good shows I would love to watch
I think that amount of t.v. becomes a little too much
When we could be doing something else a little more productive
There is a happy medium
I could easily watch Lifetime movie channel and On Demand
Even though that should be more than enough
We have Net Flicks too
It is cheaper than going to the movies
Every once and awhile we do that too
The world of entertainment
Right at our fingertips
I love to read and sometimes it is a hard choice to decide
I flip a coin
I do a little of one and then the other
Too much of one and none of the other
I think I have tried every combination
One thing is for certain
I enjoy both equally
I will not give up one
I try to do more reading than watching
Both make me happy
I think this year I will create a new invention
That will scientifically be able to tell
How much good both t.v. and books are for me
It will give me something I never had before
A guide and tape measure
To all hours of my pleasure

Gypsy Rose Lee I will check out Putlocker. I also love the Odd Couple and many other sitcoms. I am going to look for the Perfect Strangers I never heard of it. It is always nice to share and have so much fun doing it. Thank you for reading my Stoems.

The regular TV here is terrible. In the afternoons they have Latin soap opera translated into Latvian. For that reason, I don't have a TV. Anytime I want to I can watch the TV over the Internet. I have found a fantastic site Putlocker which lets me watch all my favorites from when I lived in NYC. I have watched all the seasons of Perfect Strangers and currently am into the awesome comedy The Odd Couple. I watch mostly while I work online on my other PC. Hope you are having a great weekend.

lunaticdiaries You would be surprised how much we have in common. Life has many ups and downs. There is so much pleasure to be found. With that joy don't look outside of yourself but deep inside to a love so strong and deep it makes everything happen. Television is fun but not to be used as an escape for real life. It is an addition too. One more way to bring out the love we share. Always learning and loving the smallest things about each other. Thank you for reading and sharing. I can't wait to read all the wonderful stories you write this year. Have a wonderful day enjoying the warmer weather.
