I have stumbled across a new passion: writing. It is proving to be insightful and rewarding.
The taste of a coffee bean in and of itself is bitter, but flavorful when coated in dark chocolate. Caramel is wonderful with sea salt sprinkled on top, too.
The beginning is my letting go.
Papers become pages.
The pages hold my wounds and words.
The text is classical thought where shame and guilt live.
Conformed brainwashing is difficult to recover from.
I release my words on the page as wounds too ashamed to be healed.
I anxiously wait to greet you after a long week of silence.
I am thankful for you. You are steady and level headed.
You are ever patient, you are ever true.
You stand beside me when I am feelin’ blue.
I see you watching, I see you waiting.
I look to you for guidance.
You are the rock who cheers me on from the sidelines of your heart.
You keep the faith and belief in yourself and your values.
You love yourself and show the confidence it bestows.
What have your life’s experiences taught you?
I’m watching. I’m waiting.
