Unopened Spaces

I can see far enough away but I'm not too tall
Face down in the street’s, contempt is no wall
Waiting, waiting for the religion of my fall
Can you understand not trying but getting it all?

I gave it up, caring about a nice shiny car
I just don’t want it to break down away too far
I go places but I’m ready to leave if it’s not a bar
Looking out frames of air is how my desires are

You don't make mistakes
You don't make mistakes
If you're inventing a new rhythm

I don’t hold auditions to be my friend
If it happens then it’s just a matter of when
How can a moment never reach the end?
That’s when you know so just go with it then

Making a statement about growing older
It’s not following just making your mind bolder
You live you die you’re a hippie you’re a soldier
It’s your own beauty because you’re the beholder

You don't make mistakes
You don't make mistakes
If you're inventing a new rhythm

But the early transition is the time you remember
You’re in the road like a dog running from it’s owner
The fear and the joy of making the move to December
Is a plane flight from the desert to a far away glacier

You have no experience or insight but still it pleases
You changed the rules but your ignorance increases
You play their game but you broke all the pieces
But what’s left fill up your box of unopened spaces

You don't make mistakes
You don't make mistakes
If you're inventing a new rhythm
