Under the Sea So Blue

Sea Life

under-the-sea-so-blue

The sea so tranquil

Under the sea so aquamarine
in tranquil places close to the sand.
creatures are going about their own lives
at their own pace in their own land
Colourful starfish and beautiful crabs
dear little clownfish peep out of the rocks
out comes an octopus looking for food
stealthily moving to the rhythm and mood
of the swell and waves above and beneath.
all working together for good.

Suddenly beyond the seaweed swaying so serenely
in swims a shark not so timid, as we have seen
the fish keep still as the shadow moves by
they are aware of this monster so sly
calm prevails and the sand settles once again
beams of sunlight shine into the depths
illuminating the water the bubbles and turbulence
only the treasures are covered in sand
undisturbed by human hand.
Sailors and pirates once plied their trade
in ships fit for princes
only for the brave

Below lie the remnants of ships that succumbed
to the wild elements
to the east and to the west
only the fish have found a new home
Likened to a reef, a ship on the sand
quietly resting
This sudden occurrence was not planned.
The sea and its dangers for fish and for man.

The tides still come and go
and fishermen on the sea they float
forgetting of dangers, far in the past
they head for the horizon
where the big fish are
withstanding the salt and fierce ocean waves
battered by winds they cast their nets
hoping to see what the next haul gets
So it is with the men and the sea
let them go and just let them be.

Beauty of the ocean

The ocean and it's wild beauty

The ocean has always drawn us to it's shores. In spite of it's beauty and magnetism we should tread carefully and not rush out, into unchartered territory.

I like how you wove this tale of fishers, sunken boats, and the wonders of what lies under the sea. It is a vast undersea world!
