Two Whales Talking Understood

I have been writing poetry, fiction and short stories for many years and have completed a book of poems. I also enjoy comedy writing.

Whale Language

Whale Language

So I stopped by the ocean the other day just to see how things going

I stumbled upon two whales splashing and showing

Then the stopped a while and noticed I was there

Then the whales began to converse with each other and this was all I could hear

Mogoooola Chuurrp Chuurrp

Whooooosh Whoooooshp

Mogoooola Churrrp Chuuurp

Eeeeeesse Essssse Essssse whoowhooo

Then for a moment it was as if the whales were laughing

They seemed to be joyful about something

Then all of a sudden I began to understand the whale’s language

My mind was free from the moons bondage

The whales were making fun of how I looked

I was tiny and scrawny to them and I looked like a worms’ hook

One whale wanted to swallow me but the other said no

Because I was just too ugly and looked like a crow

The whales spoke many things but most was mock and jeer

Now I insult whales when I am just sitting in the middle of the ocean nowhere.

John, these whales don't swallow humans, they prefer fresh cheeseburgers.

What an imagination you have! I like your whale poem as it is so cute.

Just when I think you've written a fun poem, you come up with another one. Whales thinking you're ugly and talking about you is unique and funny....

A quick fly-by to wish you a very Merry Christmas!

Strange as it may sound we set aside time to watch them on migration. Your poetry is great. I need to clean the lenses on my binoculars. .

Nice bit of humour to start Christmas Clive.

Every time I go on a boat I am wary that whales may mistake Jodah for Jonah. It is not an easy feeling. This was a fun poem.
