Towards the Within
Towards the Within
The river had an explicible yearning directing
it towards the immensity of the ocean
River, my friend and brother
One morning I sat at upon your shore
Listening to your old song
Sung since the days of yore
My inner ear also started to hear
The slow and steady whisper
Growing louder each day, drawing near
River, you have infected me now
The seed is planted,
this madness begins to grow
The soul embarks on it's journey,
body in tow
Do you see it, River?
What say you of this soul's unrelenting flow?
Towards the Source, afire now, aglow
