Today—Word Prompt Challenge by Brenda

The following set of poems are in response to the weekly word prompt challenge by dear friend, Brenda.
Brenda Arledge, needs no introduction. She is a wonderful creative writer, and has composed many beautiful poems on HubPages and other writing platforms. She is right, when she says that word prompts help creativity.
Many writers are responding to her word prompts weekly, each one unique, each one beautiful.
This week’s word prompt is Today. When I think of this word, I feel that, it’s our Today, which is the most important day, in our lives. Yesterday is gone, and Tomorrow is always uncertain. We may make several plans for tomorrow, but we can’t be sure of what will happen tomorrow.

These are the thoughts, going through my mind, which I have tried to express.
Hope you like my response, Brenda.

Flowers have only today, but they make the most of it. They spread smiles and happiness, to everyone around them.

Flowers have only today, but they make the most of it. They spread smiles and happiness, to everyone around them.

Today Is The Ultimate Day—Poem

Today is your ultimate day,

Give it all you have,

Learn and have fun,

Be kind and noble,

Today is your best day,

Do not waste the precious time,

Invest in time wisely,

Today is your best time,

Sow good deeds and kindness,

So, you reap benefits, everyday,

Today is your day,

Make it significant,

Make smaller goals,

So, you fulfil them today,

Today is your ultimate day,

Be humble, Make friends,

So, they are there after today,

If you made a good Today,

You will have a better tomorrow.

Every Sunrise brings with it new possibilities.

Every Sunrise brings with it new possibilities.

Acrostic Poem—Today.

The goal of life is to be happy,

One step, one day at a time,

Don’t waste time,

As time flies very fast,

Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is future, but Today is the gift.

“The best preparation for tomorrow, is doing your best today.”

—H Jackson Brown Jr.

“Make your ‘someday’ Today.”

“Don’t let yesterday, take too much of today.”

—Will Rogers.

Thank you so much for appreciating my response to your word prompt. I am glad that you liked the poems and the messages.

Thank you for appreciating my pictures, all clicked by me.

The flower picture is from my home garden. I always click pictures of my garden flowers, whenever they bloom. Because, I know that tomorrow they will dry up. That made me write those lines under the flower picture.

Flowers are a good example to teach us the importance of today.

Thank you for your encouraging words and support, and thanks for posting the link to my response. Keep up the good work.

Chitrangada

These are wonderful poems.

I love the pictures.

Below the first image is a phrase that is absolutely beautiful!

"Flowers have only today, but they make the most of it. They spread smiles and happiness, to everyone around them."

Amazing thought!

I love how your first poem encouages us to make smaller goals so we can finish them today.

In your acrostic poem the part I love most is Today is a gift.

Reminding us not to waste time. To enjoy each moment of today.

Ending this article with the quotes is a nice touch too.

Great job!

I will post a link on the article.
