Poem: To Ponder Being Homeless
I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.
Poem Summary
To ponder being homeless is a poem depicting her in a living situation where she's not sure if she really has a place to call home. She holds onto a fear that any day she may need to pack up & leave behind the place she calls home. Her heart is dampened as she tries to make the most of each second.

To Ponder Being Homeless
His harsh spoken words,
"This is my house. I live here,"
cuts through her like a knife, implying she does not.
It's a crushing feeling
that dampens her heart,
realizing any day
she may need to pack up,
leaving the place she calls home behind.
She holds her tears back
as a rage burns deep inside,
hiding her true feelings
as she holds onto the fear,
of being homeless.
The day turns into night
the night into day
as she walks in a mist of confusion,
in a daze
making the most of what each second offers.
