To My Wife A Special Morning It Was

Updated on February 28, 2019

After Only A Few Hours

We both knew where we should be

Back in bed

Tucked under the covers

Snuggling in each others arms

Off to sleep we went

Dreaming of many days

That give us a world of unlimited pleasure

Sharing so many important views

Giving a quick review

Of the life we encounter daily

Working through our problems

Understanding our differences

Spending more time on our strengths

Accepting new adventures

That we tackle together as well as separate

Rediscovering our passion

Revealing are weaknesses

Talking and holding each other closer than before

Both of us slowly lifting our bodies to the floor

On with the rest of the day

Both content and delighted

Even a little light headed

        DREAM ON

Venkatachari M Love like yours is what dreams are made of. My wife and I have been married for 17 years. Each year goes by and it is hard to believe. We have so much fun that we don't notice the time. We know life has many challenges and we thank God that we have one more day. If that time comes and one of us passes away we made it clear we will always be in each other's pocket. That we should go on to live our best life possible. That would only be what the other person would want. We dream a lot of spending our retirement years together. Growing old together. The reality is my father passed at the age of 66 and my mother lived to 83. My wife's parents passed away also at different ages. Her father at 86 and her mom 68. You just never know what God has planned. All we can do is try our best and help people as we travel through our own life. I want to thank you for spending time reading my poems. I also want to thank you for sharing something so close to your heart. I will always believe that life is amazing even though many times I am confused and curious. A strange combination I am sure. I always search for a purpose and a meaning. What we learn may take time to understand. Sometimes we have to live life and experience more before we can see life in a different way. It can not be taught in any textbook and there are no short cuts. With these thoughts, I wake up every day and try to connect with people who live life with enthusiasm and passion. Through these relationships, I forge my way. If it is at work, at home or people on HubPages or at the grocery store. I believe we are here on earth to learn and live a life of love. Many people doubt me and don't see my vision. They have told me I have my head in the sand and I am ignoring reality. I think they have lost the ability to dream and can't enjoy the wonderful life we all have been given. I wake up eager and excited. They wake up cursing and finding fault. Only time will tell. Everyone has their own thoughts about what life should or shouldn't be. I find the whole subject fascinating to talk about. I hope I didn't take up too much of your time. Have one calm and beautiful night.

My days are very nice. Even though my wife is no more physically, her soul is with me all through these years and will be there till my last breathe. We always maintained closeness and love throughout our married life of 38 years.

Gypsy Rose Lee Reaching out and helping each other every day is where our morning begins. Then we experience the good and enjoy the joy. Then also the not so good and try to make the best of it. Thank you so much for reading and caring. May your night be wonderful.

Dora Weithers My wife and I met later in life and we were blessed in so many ways. Even through our toughest times, we manage to pull together when other people pull apart. We also celebrate the littlest things that make each other smile that most people think nothing of. Thank you for reading and sharing your lovely comments.
