Time With Joy

Agnes Laurens is a writer, wife, and mother of three daughters.

Time as lights shine through the living room

Glittering through the coloured tree standing

In front of the window

Watching the white snow

Playing the children

Adding that carrot nose

On the snowman

Boom

On the window when

You them jumping through the white snow

Joy them time flows

Christel clear lighting

Chocolate milk waiting in the warmth

Boom again, again, and again

Another snowball

Thrilling windows, again, again

Asking questions through the game

Played by the whole family

Until night comes and the you get hungry

From playing outside

Dinner arrived

Smelling the tastes

While biting in the bread

With more butter then you wanted

Hearing stories from the day

Going to bed too late

Thanks. How so?

This poem makes me think of my childhood in Wisconsin. Those frosted windows looked like exquisite pieces of frosted art. The snowy days provided much outdoor fun!

Reminds me of Christmases past
