Tidal Forest- Where Roots Breathe

Author:
tidal-forest-where-roots-breathe

I cannot fathom
These idiosyncratic trees,
And the enchantress of nature.

I Sail across waterlogged paths
With mighty halophytes on both sides,
Their submerged roots in the saltwater.
And their incredible audaciousness.

A contrasting forest
With the same perilous essence,
Where roots breathe and grow stronger everyday
And make its vicinity more dense.

Sailing under the arcs of branches
And over the greenery waters,
That's the charming mangrove forest
And the enchantress of nature.

Nice article Ankita. I stay at an area near mangroves, estuaries, and tidal trees and am familiar with it. Its an island. These kinds of trees are a bulwark against floods.
