Poem: Those Little Moments

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

Poem Summary

Those little moments is a poem about her missing the things that made their love feel special. Like a text message, or his alluring eyes glancing her way speaking words in a language only the two of them understood. She would give up her most valuable possessions just to have those little moments back.

"I Miss My Friend" by Darryl Worley

Those Little Moments

She misses those little moments,
a simple text message
lasting for hours,
him waiting beneath the covers at her place
to surprise her.

Impromptu cookouts
when his sexy, alluring eyes would glance her way
with a glow glimmering on both sides of his smile,
speaking a silent language
only the two of them understood.

She longs for those moments
of childlike love,
where he wraps his loving arms around her
walking hand in hand,
creating a lifetime bond.

She is willing to give up her most valuable possessions,
depriving her soul,
just to get those moments back.
