These Scattered Thoughts

I'm a writer, a poet, a dreamer. Born and raised in New York City. I now live in Daytona Beach, Florida with my wonderful cat Sid.

these-scattered-thoughts

Scattered thoughts,

like autumn leaves blown by the wind.

Lost dreams somewhere behind the clouds,

visions of happier times,

nothing to be done –

but once again to blow bubbles into the wind.

Scattered thoughts,

like sparkling bubbles,

dancing through the air,

come down upon the grass –

sparkling like glittering jewels.

Scattered thoughts,

of the days of you and me,

days we always thought would be,

before you went away.

Sending sweet love to you,

with every bubble swept away by the wind,

Scattered thoughts,

of the last time, I saw you,

last look,

last smile,

sweet kisses shared on a moonlit night.

Dancing among the shadows,

in the garden where springtime flowers,

wafted sweet perfume.

Always till the light of day,

when the moon and the sun,

changed places

and we had to go on our way.

These scattered thoughts,

hold back the tears –

blowing bubbles that dance along with the wind.

While breezes blow love all around,

making my heart glow I go on keeping the love alive.

Knowing that you see the bubbles glittering in the sun.

smiling upon me and the joy I find –

blowing bubbles into the wind.

Thank you, Kyler and blowing those giant bubbles sounds wonderful.

Kyler J Falk from California on April 22, 2020:

On the Saturday before Easter we went to the park because it was sunny, and we blew giant bubbles with the bubble wand we had stuck in our son's Easter basket. Returning to that time of innocence, simplicity, it is quite freeing.

A lovely poem, Gypsy!

This is so beautiful.

You touch upon true feelings one really experiences.

I guess it is like bubbles in the wind.

Thanks for sharing.

Thls is a very lovely poem, as per usual. You never fail to hit it out of the park. Each poem is splendid and I look forward to reading them.

I swear, Rasma, my days are filled with scattered thoughts. It's like a shotgun explosion in my head at any given moment. :) Loved the images here.

Hope you are well...stay safe and healthy, my friend.
