The Stream (poem)

the_stream_poem

Refreshing stream of possibility

She caught the moon within her dancing light

Within her mist the flowers’ scent held tight

What wondrous dreams does she unfold for me.

-

Beside her are there wonders to excite

Or fascination waning to be free

A kiss for all still waiting yet to be

This spring which flows through all of life’s delights

-

I close my eye to the approaching sea

Another memory awaits the night

Another chance to make a dream more right

As I now drink from my eternity

-

And with the end my stream vanished from sight

But with refreshing rain it seemed alright

Deb Hirt on May 30, 2016:

Rain is refreshing and can put everything in a new light. Nature tends to do that for me, but I yearn to get back to it only after a short time.

Bronwen Scott-Branagan from Victoria, Australia on May 15, 2016:

Beautifully expressed.

JL Reyes from Saturns Rings on May 14, 2016:

Love is eternal and it is everywhere, beautifully written and inspiring poetry. I have a long way to go before I am able to write at your caliber. Goodnight!
