The Rhythm of Life

Updated on September 18, 2017

Is it really a tangled web we weave

When first we practice to deceive?

Sometimes it's not like a web at all

Often it's more like a rolling ball

A ball that we push when we first tell a lie

No matter who we hurt, the ball keeps rolling by

With each lie we tell, the ball keeps getting bigger

Our mouths can be compared to a finger on a trigger

I often wonder if we thought of our mouth like a gun

If people would think about what they said to everyone

Think of your words as if you were firing a shot

You never know if you'll hit that sensitive spot

At the present time it may not seem like they're hurt

But they will be once they uncover your dirt

In conclusion do not go gentle into that good lie

Honesty, Honesty against the temptation of a lie
