The Keurig
Since the moment I held a pencil I've been creating with drawings and words. I believe paintings enlighten and poems entice our audiences.
A Glint of Humor from the Coffee World
Are we coffee lovers or a tea connoisseur? That is the big question.
Coffee Buzz
The Keurig
The thing in the room
Stands in stature of respect
General Keurig has entered our space
All attendee’s look in anticipation
To the master at its craft
The machine that delivers the rickety, black
Liquid of drug-induced joy.
One-by-one they hover
Each lusty patron grabs a plastic pod
Howls and hoops
Expand the walls.
How do we do it?
You open the top
Insert the pod
And the liquid pours
Sounds easy until the first customer
Attempts the brew.
The pod is upside-down
The pod has a hole in it
Which button do I press?
Where does the cup go?
Urg, Arg…Splish, Splash
A nightmare ensues
Until the coffee is delivered
And peace once again
Has been restored.
Poetry and Painting
I've been writing poems and painting watercolors for many years. I find painting and writing enlighten, enrich and inspire each other. Poems are the place where creativity is at a peak because the boundaries are endless. For me, humorous poems are the most fun to write.

I thoroughly enjoyed this lighthearted poem which made me think of chatting with friends in a cafe over a cup of coffee. The things we take for granted. The painting is beautiful - lovely writing.

Here's a bit of coffee humor summed up in a poetic expression. Please enjoy and thank you.
