The Worries of Our Age
Could I order a man to die like a general?
Or is it easier to wonder why it is you cry?
The wounds of valor are not my own
Nor the pain of chains or how I might die
The somber warning is building now
What is the intent of the message?
When will it reveal itself to us all?
Will it be a barrier or a passage?
Does anyone know how it will end?
Will it last far beyond where our dreams meet?
Every generation thinks the world began with them
Will Jesus join us or will Satan keep his seat?
Faith is strangled between a bible and a gun
My God doesn’t need my protection, only my belief
The world begs for a savior who walks among us
Is he the spirit in our heart or only blood and grief?
