The Moth Flew Into My Life

At the door knob

the moth appears pinned

and yet totally free

serene

honoring stillness

blended with the dusk

suspended in mid-tones

it pauses

until the street lights

hijack the town

looking paper-thin

compared to its sunlit

kaleidoscope of

solid and illusionary versions--

in this dimension of oxymorons--

my winged figurine steers me

to the unknown

as I open the door

in or out
