This Unfair World: A Poem
What is the human legacy of success
when seen from one to another nation
while some are living in a filthy excess
and others' children dying of starvation.
What gives us right to be so proud
with audience clapping so gratifying
with all those cheers deafening loud
making it impossible to hear a crying.
Nobody chose the color of their skin
and yet it seems such a big of a deal
as if that's a condition to lose or to win
like stigma often imposing how we feel.
Even our gods can't make up their minds
what should be good for all to believe
so we have faith of different kinds
being smart or just plain naïve.
So I am staying clear of all global games
minding my own world that I've created
not falling for those bombastic names
with everything loved, nothing hated.
Walking on the sunny side of the street
I have a clear vision of the side in shade
and I would join there in a short heartbeat
could I only stop unfair games being played.
