I have been writing poetry, fiction and short stories for many years and have completed a book of poems. I also enjoy comedy writing.
I hate that the world is this way
I hate that some little kids go hungry everyday
I hate that women are still facing domestic abuse
I hate that my color still makes me get refused
I hate that they dump toxins in the sea
I hate that leaders lack vision and unable to see
I hate that the bank took away your home
Simply because you lost your job and now times are tough as stone
I hate that war budgets are larger than education
I hate to see my people in frustration
I hate that so many forest fires blaze
I hate that self-worshiping is the new craze
I hate that people care less about current affairs and more about social media likes
I hate when the wicked laugh and the meek cries
I hate when animals are abused and killed as trophies
I hate that no one listens to our forefathers stories
I hate that you hate me
I hare that I hate you
Love is what we should do
Tiyasha Maitra from Gurgaon on January 22, 2020:
A powerful poem with some very serious and attention worthy issues. Love the rhyme too.
Clive Williams (author) from Jamaica on January 18, 2020:
Angels are here PS
Donna Rayne from Sparks, Nevada on January 18, 2020:
An intriguing poem, but always remember, love will always win in the end!
Peace and love,
Ruby Jean Richert from Southern Illinois on January 18, 2020:
This is an eyeopener for sure. Please don't hate just because others do. Stand tall and be proud of who you are, because you're a winner for sure. Peace!
Eric Dierker from Spring Valley, CA. U.S.A. on January 18, 2020:
I am with you all the way -- I hate hate, so call me a hypocrite.
Nice rhythm here..
Pamela Oglesby from Sunny Florida on January 18, 2020:
You certainly wrote a lot of things to hate but love is always the answer.
Patricia Scott from North Central Florida on January 18, 2020:
Love is the key, the answer. Hate brings discord, fear, and disharmony. Finding our way to 'fix' the negatives and bring joy and calm to our world begins with each of us. Well stated, Clive. Angels are headed your way this morning. ps

I liked this, Clive. There’s a lot of bad stuff in the world but a lot of good too.
John Hansen from Queensland Australia on January 17, 2020:
I hate the hate in the world. Why can’t we all try to get along and do what’s right for each other, the planet and all living things. Noble sentiments Clive, I applaud you.
BRENDA ARLEDGE from Washington Court House on January 17, 2020:
Wouldn't it be great if we could all get along...like in the song sung by John Lennon. I think its called Imagine.
Sorry the world is full of things to hate and sometimes love turns to hate too.
Guess we will have to find the things we love.
