The Twin In The Mirror

Seized by the eerie tempest
He was left to wander alone,
The icy blizzard got him stranded
One that was more of a dark lonesome storm.

With faint strength he kept on moving
but it was getting tough to cope.
And just as he was about to give up,
He found a piece of mirror
The reflection somewhat restored his hope.

Although that image wasn't a familiar face
And they hardly looked alike,
It gave him the courage to face that storm
'Cos the storm was same on both sides.

Deeply frosted by the chilled air
The image in it seemed distorted
But to his surprise the more he stared,
The darkness around began to disappear
and the reflection kept turning fair,
No longer did he feel alone.

And though their paths had never crossed.
It was much easier thereafter, to find his way through that frost.
'Cos he had found his twin in that reflection
And it made him feel at home.

It's a blessing to have someone who understands your struggles and chooses to stand by your side through the hard times.

Thank you so much, dear Lorna! Eventually we all need to fight our own battles but it's always good to know that we are not alone in the fight. Thank you for your appreciative words. May you be blessed always!

A wonderful atmospheric poem Farah where he discovered a kindred spirit in the mirror. A connection that gave him hope and strength. Beautiful poetry as always.

Absolutely, John! Be it just a reflection or someone you can connect to, it is a blessing to have someone by your side during times of distress, even without their physical presence. Makes it much easier to face the obstacles in life. Thank you so much for your appreciation, John! Bless you for being the kind person you always are!

What a delightful poem, Farah. Sometimes we can take solace in just a feeling that we are not alone, as in the case with the reflection in this piece of mirror. Even if we are not accompanied in a physical sense.
