The Thread of Hope Runs True

When in times of doubt, we see lightning's flash,

And we hear the roaring sounds of the thunder,

We search our hearts and souls, through the night,

As our minds, all run so cold, and then to wander.

Why did our Lord God put us all here, in this place,

While we stand so bold, for it's then that we ponder,

Making us brave, to withstand those darkest nights,

And our lives, every one, never to be put asunder?

It is our hope, sparking courage and bravery that sees us through,

The thread that holds us fast to each, that binds us all, me and you.

We are only in our minds, as small children,

always growing. each day are learning more,

And never can we ever to know just enough,

Seeking more knowledge from shore to shore.

Always when we think that we do so know it all,

The greater challenges then appear to unfold,

It's the time we remember our faith, our strength,

That strongest of determination we do uphold.

It is our hope, sparking courage, our bravery, that sees us through,

The thread that holds us fast to each, that binds us all, me and you.

We may all lean on that everlasting wood cross,

Where our Savior died on that most terrible day,

He perished for us each so that we could teach,

Giving gifts to others of great hope, as we pray.

What greater gift than that out of His own love,

Did the Father, in heaven then to have shared,

Meant for us, every mother's child, to have life,

His way of showing us just how much he cared?

It is our hope, sparking courage, our bravery, that sees us through,

The thread that holds us fast to each, that binds us all, me and you.

That truest love that the Father has for all His children here on earth,

And the reason that he put us here was because of our great worth.
