The Splendid Earth
The magnificent world, that globe of water and earth, of cherished lives,
The blue orb turning in the night, a home to every creature, so thrives.
Just one sample of an infinite number coexists, brightly to shine in space,
Not by chance but of a benevolence so grand, a gift of resplendent grace.
As truly grateful recipients, should we not all gladly respond,
In order to preserve and protect and a part of it all to bond?
Is not then our responsibility, to promote, provide for the future,
As intended by the creator of us all, to save and it to nurture?
The blue depths of the oceans, the azure sky illuminated above,
Greening forests and dales across wide fields, all require our love.
Every tiny creature, to the behemoths, belongs and here all reside,
Living out the longest days so intended, by all life's rules to abide.
It's remaining a splendid testimonial, this planet needs everyone,
As stewards of the earth, our opportunities, until our day is done.
Each precious minute and breath of life, a gift no greater in our birth,
No treasure valued beyond in worth, as all the lives here on this earth.
