Donna is a wonderful poetess and writes about her love for the Lord in poems and acrostics. "Let Me Paint You a Picture - A Picture Words"
The Sovereignty of Our Lord Jesus Christ
The world is changing all around us and we got hit without warning
But when the world gets tough, and people are afraid and hurting
We mustn’t lose sight of the sovereignty of our Lord Jesus Christ
For He is powerful and gracious and shall feed us like the Sparrows in the skies
Just close your eyes, cry out before the throne, come before the presence of our loving Jesus Christ
Just call out to Him, he will come and rescue you and will give you comfort during this time
He is the truth, he is the Light, he is the comforter when troubles are near
Just call upon his name, bow before the King of Kings and he will hear
He rescues the faithful, hears those who want to change their ways
It’s never too late to call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and ye shall be saved
Repent of your sins, ask Jesus into your heart and that’s all you must do
Sins are forgiven and you are set free from who you used to be; you have become new
Troubles are fleeting, a calmness fills the soul and under his wings you are safe
Trust in the Lord to provide you all things and that he knows what’s going on day by day
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, he'll wrap his arms around you until the storm fades
The oceans may roar, thunder may bring black clouds and lightning in the sky rages
I promise, you will get through this; this is just part of the world as we know it
But Jesus is gathering many, saving many more and he is near, and he is worth it
Take refuge under his wings, weather the storm and trust in the Lord God with all thy heart and lean not unto thine own understanding
God is still in control; he knows what you need and at the end of the Book we all are left standing
What A Beautiful Name
Your hidden glory in creation
Now revealed in you our Christ
What a beautiful name it is
The name of Jesus Christ, our King
What a beautiful name is this
Nothing compares to this
What a beautiful name it is
The Name of Jesus Christ, our King of King
And Lord of Lords
— The song, written and led by Brooke Ligertwood and co-written with Ben Fielding

Thank you for sharing that beautiful story. I hope when my time comes, it will be like that!
Demas W Jasper from Today's America and The World Beyond on April 20, 2020:
A woman lay dying and in a coma, her family gathered around. Suddenly she sat up, looked smilingly at a distant, upper corner of the room, and asked, "Are you the angels who have come to take me home?" Seemingly assured by what she alone could see, she rested back on her pillow, and was gone. (A story one of her family members told to me.)

Faith is what we need right now everything feels a distant and with less hope. This hub makes one feel hope and strength.

Such a wonderful piece of work.
We can call Jesus any time. He is there.
I hope people can remember this even when things start looking grim.
Thanks for sharing.

God allows things to happen, it's how we react is the key. If we look back we see many atrocities, like Hitler exterminating the Jewish population. The American Indian's land taken by greedy politicians. I think God wants us to see how horrible this was and turn from our wicked ways. Your piece is inspiring, and I enjoyed it.
Linda Courtney from Bloomsburg, PA on April 02, 2020:
Timely piece and thank you Donna! God may be behind this whole pandemic trying to bring people back to His fold. Too many idolize sports and things and money. He's taking these away to make people sit up and take notice that He is God and in control. Those things are fleeting. God is forever!

A beautiful piece!
Spiritual Masters say that if one is committed 100% to their chosen Ideal, then results will surely come. Serve, serve, serve ... remember gratitude. Prayer and communion, remember not to distance God's Justice from His Compassion. We tend to like the one and hate the other. Both are His. Much Love.
Pamela Oglesby from Sunny Florida on April 01, 2020:
Donna, this is such a timely article and beautifully written. I love the music as Hillsong is one of my favorite groups also. I walk on faith everyday also and that is the path to feeling peaceful each day.
God bless you Donna.
