The Sahar (The Dawn)

the-sahar

The Sahar (The Dawn)

The radiance of the aurora has set the night sky ablaze,

The whispering breeze has broken the morning silence,

Spreading peace and tranquility all around the place.

A new day marked by a new dawn

Has restored hope in a mind vigil,

As expectations start to peek once more

To gather the courage to start afresh

What had been till now at a stand still.

So stay!

Stay by me and hold my hand,

Let us cherish the bond that still strongly stands,

Let us hope for a future that can take us far

And shine bright on us like those glittering stars

Witnessed at the rise of this beautiful sahar!

Speaking about ICU beds, yup! All full here in Bangladesh. My husband just tested positive as well but he is stable so far ALHAMDULILLAH! We are both doctors btw. Are you in the medical profession as well? That would be a big coincidence! Anyway please do pray for us dear.

Yes, I am from Pakistan but living in Spain. I am from Urdu Speaking family. Subha Bakhair means Good Morning

The pandemic is continuing to pile the pressure on Spain’s intensive care units (ICUs). The effect of the third wave is still being felt, with one in five ICU beds occupied by Covid-19 patients, and the threat of a fourth wave putting hospitals on alert. But ALHAMDULILAH we all are safe. May God protect everyone from this dangerous virus. Ameen!

Thank you, dear Misbah. Glad to know you are from Spain. I was under the impressiom you are either from my own country or Pakistan. Good to know it was sahar in Spain when you wrote this. It was sahar here in Bangladesh when I wrote it as well haha. Had a sleepless night plus we are going through a second phase of lighter form of lockdown here. So thought of writing a few lines during the early morning. Subah bakhair my dear. It means good morning in Urdu right? So are you originally from Pakistan? Stay blessed always.

Misbah Sheikh from The World of Poets on April 06, 2021:

Beautiful piece of poetry, Farah

It's just Sahar here in Spain. Subha Bakhair dear friend

I really enjoy this one, Farah, it feels like it fits perfectly with my life events right now. A new dawn is rising, yet everything is remaining just as it always has been. Lover in hand, and family in the other we take this dawning age by storm!
