The Road Through Life

I'm a writer, a poet, a dreamer. Born and raised in New York City. I now live in Daytona Beach, Florida with my wonderful cat Sid.

As everyone knows,

life is worth its weight in gold,

more precious than diamonds

and it shines brighter.

There are many reasons,

for the beauty of the four seasons,

there are many natural wonders,

offering us so many delights,

that are all free.

The wonder of a rainbow,

the mighty splash of ocean and sea waves,

majestic mountains rising ever so high,

rivers and streams and cascading waterfalls.

Think of these delights,

to make your world bright,

as each sun rises and sets,

every new day -

a grand adventure begins.

The cold winds that blow,

in the autumn know,

to make colorful leaves,

go dancing in the air.

Trees so stately and tall,

will proudly display their colors,

before their leaves swirl away.

When orange pumpkins,

get all frosty –

you’ll know winter is on the way.

Howling north winds,

make for rosy cheeks,

as the bare tree,

branches wave from above.

soon snowflakes come along,

creating a winter white wonderland.

Long is the road through winter,

but then return the gentler breezes.

with earthy scents

and promises of spring.

Days of warm sun rays,

out come the first crocuses,

followed by tulips

and spring becomes most colorful.

With ecstasy we greet summer,

days of gentle caressing winds,

butterflies and bees in the skies.

Gently lapping waves,

at the seashore,

dreaming beneath tall oaks,

by flowing rivers.

Watching ever so carefully,

as time goes by,

until the day the first leaf –

goes dancing through the sky.

Let’s dance for joy

that we are part of it all

isn’t it wonderful

isn’t it grand -

that we travel down the road of life.
