The Power of Music, Revisited

Updated on August 9, 2018

When God created the heavens and the Earth so long ago,

Made all the creatures, gave them life, as His only to know.

Besides the beauty of the environ all about, its fine majesty,

There was one thing of importance, of this to be a certainty.

The grand music of the stars played so wonderfully all about,

Angels did sing, played on an instrument's string, all did shout.

Beautiful rhymes, those best of all times, where voices to ring,

Heard all across the heavenly realm, every stanza for the King.

Upon Earth, visited by mirth, as a thousand strings to play,

All of those celestial words, that only the Creator could say.

Bringing His miraculous glory, telling a most wondrous story,

As life was given to man, as was God's plan, we all did stay.

Then what better message to send to Him, the life giver of all,

Sung in greatest harmony, lifting every voice, large and small?

Music to be a grandest communication of our Universal plane,

Across each planet's face, it does so grant grace, every grain.

Music to have no strangers in this, our planetary world,

Every land across the oceans, wide, eaches flag unfurl.

Music's a fabulous negotiator, of all languages, untold,

Its messages so received by one and all, hearts do hold.

Strings, woodwinds, percussion, brass, instrumentalities,

Formal or informal presentations address all sensualities.

The grandest gift of a benevolent God, music to our ears,

A communication to be received by all, as each one hears.

It must have been wonderful, in the beginning, hearing the angels sing! Music certainly is a gift from God.

I couldn't agree more! Music is truly the universal language, and I've seen it touch the emotions of all kinds of people in a way that words alone cannot always accomplish. This is a gorgeous poem!

I feel too, music speaks a universal message and is one of the greatest sources of joy and unification for all of us. Thankyou for reminding us today, whonu.
