The Order of the Grain of the Mustard Seed

I can't seem to stop writing poetry or reading poetry. I think it is safe to say I love poetry and I love sharing great poetry with others.

My life

patchwork of belief,

fine lines of created

and arguments.

I have caught

what was spread.

When everything dwells

on the Kingdom of God

then the Mustard Seed

is already planted.

The smallest of seeds,

yet grows

into sturdy plant

that transplants

well and never

leaves your garden.

Returning year in,

year out,

no matter what force

is used against

the roots.

Though my faith

maybe small

I believe and I love

so one day my faith

will grow over the world.

The Order of the Grain

of the Mustard Seed

formed a union

based on His parable

found in Matthew.

As for my faith

my course was that of loss,

sudden, dramatic, bold.

My Mustard Seed was sown

back when I was a boy

praying behind the pew

at Franciscan Monastery,

taught by Franciscan Monks.

I believe and I pray.

Everyday is a blessing

through the hardships.

A testimony of the power

of one grain

of Mustard Seed.

Jamie, I love this.

The seed you just planted

To inspire us with your poem

Taken from God’s Parable

Written in the book of Matthew

The truth is written there for all to see

How faith can grow so big and tall

From the smallest seed of all
