The old lessons we learn

Sometimes burn.

It’s the lessons

That makes for a sour turn.

II.

We do as our parents did,

Believing tradition will do our bid.

But time changes

And such lessons must be rid.

III.

Now lessons learn new

That’s what we need to do.

The new lessons

Is the glue.
