Oluwatobiloba is an undergraduate of the University of Lagos and a lover of poetry
After the business of the day,
After the daytime toils,
When the sun sets and the night falls,
When the oculus seems heavy.
When crepuscle saunters in,
And the sky puts on a black robe,
That reveals the blazing dark,
And flows through streets and woods.
My slothful eyes begins to slumber,
Going for a dream trip faraway.
The journey as far as the earth to Nirvana,
The path as wide as the globe in its entirety.
Yet, as narrow as the eye of a midget needle.
May I journey back once aurora saunters in,
That I don't journey into death's cold embrace,
That I awake to see sunrise staring into my eyes.
