The Long Meadow In Between

I never loved a woman so much
Maybe bits and pieces
Or in equal parts to what I rejected
But never in whole
Until I met flesh and spirt I respected

The girl I missed
The woman I caught
So much between mountains of time
Would you love me as much
If I also was the meadow long and green?

I never thought I deserved so much
Maybe if I knew what peace is
Or stormy sky souls being collected
Every color to make us whole
A promise that keeps us protected

The girl I missed
The woman I caught
So much between mountains of time
Would you love me as much
If I also was the meadow long and green?

I see what happened
I can see it, I can feel it
It’s all so simple
It needed time to grow
There are no footprints
Where it is, only we know

The girl I missed
The woman I caught
What you became to me
Was what I hoped all along
I only had to believe I belong

A soulful poem indeed Mark...every line beautifully speaking a story...all that collaborates to give a tale....And the conclusion to the tale was just perfect...Belief is a powerful thing...And in the path of belonging...the steps of believing...give together a beautiful journey in life...Thanks for sharing a beautiful piece...!
