The Light From The East

Omar Mohamed Eldamsheety, Egyptian poet...Born in 21 August 1978 in Tanta, Egypt...Graduated from Faculty of Engineering in 2000.

That light from the east is real or an illusion?
Is it from a moon, a candle, or the eyes of a witch?
That light from the east makes a lot of confusion.
A new life will begin, or it is my dream's deathwatch?

The face that I see is white like summer clouds.
The voice that I hear from there is soft and sweet.
Is it safe to go there, I can hear some sounds.
A love song for me, or they say don't be indiscreet.

Salaam, Omar Muhammad, I am an easterner living in the west. I completely understand what you've said but believe me Light and Love is on both sides. The difference we see is in our own eyes. May Allah bless you!

Interesting piece! Guru ji used to say, if you wish to swim, you may be given goggles, pull-buoys, paddles, swimsuit and so forth. However, when asked to jump in, if you say that you're afraid of the water, how will you swim? I just love that analogy.
