What do you see when you look at the rain?
Do you see an elephant flying?
Or a worm squiggling its way out of the multitude of water droplets?
Look at it.
Try to picture your life.
Let the rain touch your face and blend with the waters in your eyes.
Succumb to the emotions and find your true self.
Staring at you on the opposite wall of the falling rain.
It's funny, isn't it?
The way a weather teaches you how to humble yourself.
And realize that everything that's happening is not all about you.
Maybe it's about them.
Or maybe it's just about the rain.

Nice thought, Lorna.
I love the rain although it makes me sad often.
Thank you for your comment.

I love nature and in particular a rainy day walk. The weather and its many facets always remind me of how fragile we are. Lovely poem.
