Humor: The Haiku of Golf

Mark Tulin is a baseball fan from Philadelphia, PA. He has four books of poetry and one short story collection, available on Amazon.

Says Winston Churchill about golf:

"Golf is a game whose aim is to hit a very small ball into an ever smaller hole, with weapons singularly ill-designed for the purpose."

Green Fairways

Golf balls, green fairways

Gas Carts with clubs whizzing by

Years lost in bunker

Bag of Clubs

In my bag of clubs

A driver, putter, and wedge

A note from my wife

My Strong Grip

Between my strong grip

The great one, Jack Nicklaus lives

Except, my short game sucks

Cosmic Golfing

In cosmic golfing

Aliens play without clubs

Starship handicap

Electric Cart

On electric cart

I whiz through fields of green grass

Drunk and five over par

Long Ball

Long ball swung wildly

Making a divot in turf

Penalities looming
