The Frozen Tree

I am frozen now
I have been covered with snow
I have lost my leaves
I am at a standstill
Just like a monk,
who has been meditating for years

Though I know
only change is constant
I welcome every season
with love and warm smiles
I shed my leaves
like saints abandon

all the worldly things
We have to leave
one breathe to take another
I never react
I see and notice each and every change
around me

But I know I can't control anything
So without worrying about anything
I observe silently
I am a mere observer
I never try to disturb the rhythm of nature
Instead I try to be synchronized with it

I am sure it is a matter of time
I will have new leaves and flowers
This snow will melt and transform into water
The sun will come out
I will shine in the sunlight
Birds will come back to me

They will sit on my branches
I will hear their sweet songs again
As I said earlier
only change is constant
It will go on and on
It is infinite

I have only two companions
They are always with me
My one companion is the sky above me
and another is memories
which I have cherished in my heart
I am happy
I am enjoying.

The sky and memory are the best friends to have. Wonderful. Glorious. A tree is a splendid life form to be if given the option. Stay peaceful and joyful.
