The Finish Line

You run in the race without looking back

Sometimes missing the most significant things

Letting others trip over your obstacles

and jump over them to reach the finish line

You never showed arrogance

Always asked and accepted aid

And when the unimportant are done helping you

You have no problem throwing them away

Is your head so concerned with the ultimate goal,

that you forget the goodness of the present?

Is your mind so cluttered with green goods and possessions,

that you forget who placed them there?

I truly pity all your ways

And the irreverent style with which you live out your irrelevant days

I truly cannot blame you

For getting sucked into the black hole of life.
