The Family of Life ( an inspirational poem)
This most time-honored sanctuary, our own beloved earth, its very existence,
Dependent upon the whole of creatures, respectful regard, in all's persistence.
No one dominant entity, forged from the bowels of its soil, to discard any life,
Each precious part of life's gift shared in kind, regardless of species, its strife.
The family, its importance, to be a wholesome arrangement in this world,
Every gentle relationship so vital, as giant meteors, in the sky are hurled.
Wild geese flying in formation, land in unison, to settle into waiting beds.
Each small creature by night seeks its seclusion, where no predator treads.
No man to violate or disturb, this creative masterpiece, its fashioning superb.
All's environment, our own most sacred homes, wasteful habits we must curb.
Hear the frogs, crickets, wild birds, their beautiful conversations in the night,
Speaking of a perfect world, one undisturbed and of peace, with futures bright.
As globes of energy spin about their own benevolent stars in this paradise,
All of our creation upon this blue voyager, a special place, an equal price.
A demand that every mother's child is treated in respect, given its place,
Not to matter how powerful the stewards of this world, of this human race.
