The End Of Our Long Slumber

Kari enjoys writing poetry. There is a certain freedom in poetry because you don't always have to follow the rules.

Awakening

We are awakening,

As from a long slumber.

Stretching our consciousness

And blinking our eyes.

Seeing the world clearer

By pulling ourselves

Out of the way.

Remembering our dreams.

Knowing suddenly that

We are all one.

When we hurt one,

We hurt all.

Please don't hurt.

Be filled with joy.

We pull our selves

From our delusions

To become our best.

Tripping and stumbling

Along the way.

But always moving forward.
